According to an article in the London Evening Standard yesterday, police are about to bring charges in connection with alleged vote rigging in the Tower Hamlets May local elections.
Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Andy Hayman said Asian areas were being targeted by vote-fixers, claiming "communities where English is a second language are vulnerable to being disenfranchised or otherwise subjected to 'sharp practice' where postal votes are concerned".
