Two LibDem councillors have been found guilty of rigging a local election vote in Burnley two years ago. Using the same technique as that previously employed elsewhere, including allegedly in Hackney, Hussain knocked on doors around the Daneshouse and Stoneyholme ward in Burnley collecting postal vote forms from electors.
They were caught because they utilised the old "proxy vote fiddle" in the 2004 election without realising that the fact that Burnley was pioneering the 100% postal ballot at that election would mean that proxy voting would be minimised.
So it goes to show that some vote riggers are definitely more stupid than others.
